The stone village road passes close by and the barn can by reached by car. Corfino is well equipped with parking areas, although a 400 sqm plot of land near the house (available by separate negotiation) could be used as a private parking area.
The picturesque stone built mountain village of Corfino (822 m asl), on the foothills of the majestic “Pania di Corfino”, is over 1000 years old and has stupendous views of both the Apuan Alps and Apennines. There are a number of good hotels and restaurants as well as 3 grocery shops and a post office. Tennis and horse riding are available close by.
The barn is a short way away from the beautiful Orecchiella National Park, well known for its uncrowded trails and byways from which visitors can enjoy the local wildlife and flora. These include golden eagles, eagle owls, hawk, deer and the recently re-introduced rams and wolves.
Corfino is just over 1.5 hours drive from Pisa airport. The main Pisa/Lucca to Aulla train line is less than half an hour away by car.
