Il Molino is a restored traditional 17th century water mill in the medieval village of Bagnone, on the historic “Francigena Way”, built by the Ancient Romans in 800 AC, to connect France with Rome. 

This delightful route passes through picturesque towns and small villages of rare beauty and interesting architecture, such as Filattiera, Villafranca, Terrarossa, Pontremoli, and winds its way across the across the mountains to the splendid Lunigiana region of northern Tuscany.
