Beautifully restored stone built 1 bedroom cottage with large external terrace and magnificent views.
The cottage is laid out over 3 floors
From the lovely dining terrace, the front door leads to a very welcoming lounge with log fire (which also provides warm air heating).
Steps lead down to the dining kitchen, with its wooden stove and back door to the small back garden.
On the upper floor there is a double bedroom and 4-piece shower room with window.
The property is in very good structural condition and has up-to-date electrics. It is accessible with a small car which can be parked about 50m away.
Sitting within the Apuan Alps Regional Park, the historic village of Vergemoli (620 m asl) is considered to be one of the prettiest and best kept in northern Tuscany. Of particular interest are its 10th Century church and the nearby “Grotta del Vento” (Cave of winds). A natural series of caves, with a variety of beautiful rock formations and a constant temperature of 10.7°C, it was used from the 17th century to keep food fresh.
The village has a lively café and the local bread van visits daily (except Sundays). A wide variety of shops, (including a large supermarket), services and sporting facilities are available in Gallicano just 9km (10 minutes) away.
