This beautiful house is known locally as Paradiso for obvious reasons!
It is set on the side of a mountain covered in chestnut trees and looks down onto Barga and across to the spectacular peaks of the Marble Mountains, the Apuan Alps. The house itself is the highest of three houses on an ancient paved mule track - an old Roman road - which is narrow but perfectly drivable in not too wide a car.
The house is large and comfortable. It is set over two floors, with cantinas below.
On the upper floor there are three bedrooms, one with a double bed and a bathroom attached, the others with twin single beds.
Downstairs there is a further double bedroom, a large sitting room and a large kitchen with dishwasher.
Off the kitchen is another bathroom and a small room with a clothes-washing machine on the right and an electric water heater for the bathrooms and kitchen.
