We really enjoyed our vacation for eight in this great holiday home and we definitely recommend it! Very quiet location in the beautiful Garfagnana mountain landscape, but you can still reach towns with supermarkets, restaurants etc. by car in a few minutes. We were completely satisfied with the house, especially thanks to the beautiful terraces, the large, well-equipped kitchen and the fantastic pool. Friendly contact with the owner, who takes care of the pool cleaning every day, and also with the agency Tuscan Retreats, who quickly helped us with questions.

Together with our (grand) children and our dogs we had a dream vacation. A beautiful, spacious house with a beautiful view of the surroundings. The large garden gave a feeling of freedom and we enjoyed the swimming pool and the tranquility. What a friendly owner. We felt like a king in the villa.

Beautiful house in a peaceful setting. The pool and pool area is very nice. The house is full of charm and well equipped. A big thank you to the owner for the lovely box of vegetables .

Top location, very relaxing! 5 stars.
Beautiful cottage in a dream location with a very good equipment and a very nice landlord. Everything available for a relaxing holiday. You feel very comfortable right away and we even extended a day. The fireplace is very great, it was well enough for the first two cooler days without us having to throw on the heating. Unfortunately, there is no German television/radio since reception is aimed at the satellite Hotbird. In good weather, there is no problem, you are always outside or on the road. Would maybe be improving?! Technically, this is certainly possible. For the colder season, the house is probably unsuitable, as heating costs are to be paid in addition and this is very expensive. Conclusion: If you are looking for a high-level rest, you are in good hands here and for a few days it is sometimes quite nice without radio and television.

Our villa was very rustic but charming . the views were beautiful. In the early morning mist overlooking the pool to the hills it was breathtaking. The owner was a very pleasant chap . He handed in a lovely basket of fruit and veg which we appreciated. Wish the pool had been a couple of degrees warmer but it was the start of September ( we still used it and once you were in it was ok the hard part was getting in lol ) . The near by town Castelnuovo was only a 10/15min drive down the valley and had a supermarket shops cafes etc. It also has a train station which was handy for some of our day trips. Overall we had a lovely holiday.

A lovely, typical Tuscan villa with beautiful grounds, views and a fabulous swimming pool. It was very clean and well looked after and the owner was welcoming and keen to tell us about the local area. Would definitely recommend!

Very nice holiday home. Big enough for two families. Fully equipped. Nice and helpful owner. A lot of privacy. Large swimming pool with beautiful views. Beautiful surroundings, between the mountains and a river near the house, nice trips to different towns and nature.

We went as a whole family, grandchildren, children and grandparents and we had been looking forward to the this stay for almost a year. And by far, we were not disappointed. Everything was as described and no photoshopping! Great parking lot, green fields, colorful flowers, a little meadow with trees and a lovely swimming pool with a fantastic view towards the hill sides on the other side of the valley. The pool was a great pleasure for everyone, it’s a must! WI-FI & TV network worked perfectly so we took the time to watch some of the stages in Tour de France. Also, we challenged ourselves to make pizza in the old stone oven, it worked and the pizzas were amazing. A shout out to the host, who on the second day of our stay, delivered a colorful and tasteful box vegetables and herbs from his own garden. So nice. Big thanks to Mr. Lenzi & wife. Bottom line, it was an amazing holiday and we would love to return one day and we won’t hesitate to recommend this to others. Oh yeah, the day we left, we went up to a local winery Cartina Bravi in Camporgiano, a few kilometers north of Poggio, here we bought some Sangiovese and Pinot Nero wines, should we return one day this will be the first thing to do.. you know, local wine goes with local food...
In the end, an little burp ... get some new kitchen knives or sharpen them... ;0)

A beautiful place perfect for recreation and inspiration in the name of great hospitality. 5 stars
