Despite the peace and quiet, the village of Pieve Fosciana is only 1 mile (1.6 km) away. Pieve Fosciana has a couple of (excellent) restaurants and bars, grocers, baker, butcher, pharmacy, gelateria and bank.
Split into one 3 bedroom, 2.5 bathroom Farmhouse and a 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom barn the properties are completely separate but included in the price. Ideal therefore for a group of 2 small families wanting privacy but space to be together.
The accommodation is situated on a sloping hillside with private garden, private swimming pool and parking, and there are beautiful rural views all round.
Both the properties have been restored with care, maintaining most of the original features and character.
The interiors are comfortable, and facilities include washing machine, dishwasher, toaster oven and microwave.
Outside there is an ample garden, private pool, two eating out areas, two barbeques, and a relaxing area overlooking the stunning views.

The Farmhouse, sleeping 6:

Ground Floor :

• Enter from the terrace into the living room with comfy seating and fireplace, through to the dining room with room for 8 to dine. The dining room leads both to the kitchen and and al fresco eating area.
• The kitchen is fully equipped with oven, hob, dishwasher, fridge freezer, washing machine, toaster, kettle, microwave and Delonghi coffee machine.
• Leading from the kitchen is a lobby from which you will find the downstairs toilet and washbasin.

Upstairs:

• 2 double bedrooms, one of which is en-suite. The second double bedroom is accessed through the twin room, so ideal for families.
• 1 Twin bedroom
• Each bedroom as an anteroom area with clothes storage.
• 2 Modern shower rooms, one of which is en-suite.
• Bedrooms have insect screens.

Outside:
Al Fresco dining area for entire group, and a covered terrace with relaxing outdoor sofas overlooking the stunning views. BBQ and outdoor sink.

Barn sleeping up to 4:

A romantic little barn, ideal for 2, or for a small family. Cosy and romantic atmosphere. Unique place with a wooden mezzanine floor laid over solid chestnut beams. Dining area, kitchen furnished with traditional in farmhouse style furniture, fireplace, shower room. 

Ground floor:

• Open plan dining area with fireplace & kitchen. Kitchen has  hob, fridge, dishwasher and countertop oven.

The main market town of the Garfagnana, Castelnuovo, is only a 5 minutes drive. This has good facilities including a tourist information office, small supermarkets, a variety of other shops, a Thursday morning market, eating and drinking places and a great wine shop where you can taste wine you wish to take back to your property!
