We had a very nice holiday, the landlords were very friendly.
Very well equipped and pleasant house in a quiet location within walking distance (10 min) from the cozy Barga

Great time in Barga!
You live on the ground floor of the very large house, which stands on a huge plot of land. The owners live on the 1st floor and keep very low profile. The reception was very friendly and uncomplicated. The interior is on an upscale 70s/80s level with everything you need. There are 2 terraces that you used depending on the position of the sun, all with plenty of space. Plenty of beach chairs and umbrellas were also there. The pool was unusual. It contains slightly salty water, which is needed for electrolysis disinfection, i.e. no pure chlorine. The edges gently slope into the pool like a beach. As a result, the swimming area is a little smaller, but big enough. We spent a lot of time here. Barga is a very likeable little town with a very beautiful medieval and a newer part. It's very lively, with lots going on in the streets and squares, especially in the evenings. There is a relatively active music scene with frequent concerts. The choice of restaurants is good. It all seems as if mainly the locals and the Italian tourist are on the move here. A pleasant contrast to the other Tuscan cities. A small disadvantage is the somewhat remote location in the mountains. It's a good distance away from the classic highlights. Nevertheless, we enjoyed everything and would love to come back.

Absolute relaxation in perfect surroundings
The apartment is huge, the garden has about 4000 square meters with fruit trees to snack on. The pool is sensational. The landlords live on the 1st floor, are very sweet - but leave you completely alone. You hardly see or hear them. The apartment is very spacious and well divided. Outside there are several terraces, a gas grill and a wood oven. It's soooo quiet - a place of total relaxation! Everything you need can be reached on foot within about 15 minutes. The entire village is very cozy, the residents are very nice across the board. We felt extremely comfortable!

Accoglienza e comodità
Proposta comodissima, ampi spazi, pulizia, cortesia e relax. Tutto Perfetto
|Well equipped, pleasant and well located (near town, far enough to be quiet). Parking is behind secure gates (but its Barga, so you can leave your keys in), shielded from the house by trees. A stone path takes yup to the entrance, next to a covered dinning area. Neither are far from the loverly pool (great to cool off in, not so good if your planning on swimming lengths). Space is a plenty in the house, with a massive master suite being notable. If its too hot, retire to the cool lounge and partake of the Sky tv (its Italian, but football and rugby abound). Leaving the house a 15 min walk into the town square gives you Conad the supermarket and the wonderful Alpino bar and restaurant - the soul of the town after dark. Don't forget to grab a wonderful ice cream from Giardino on the square! If you fancy a morning coffee and pastry, then the amazingly good value Pasticceria Fratelli Lucchesi down the steps opposite Alpino is a must. Great value food and drink abounds in the old town, a 5 min walk from the square over the old roman bridge. Caffe Capretz is excellent and the small cafe opposite offers the best wine and meat platters you could ever ask for. Wonder the old town, walk to the Duomo at the top and take the views in - you will not be left disappointed. The area has many things to do, walking in the mountains, or my favourite walking the walls in Lucca. Time it right and you can catch a top band at the Lucca festival in July/August. A great house to rent to relax and explore the best part of Italy. Andy.

Amazing Pool and Gardens - Lovely Owners
Left on Mar 19, 2017 for a stay in Aug 2016
My wife and I stayed here for week with our two young children in the summer of 2017. Firstly we were greeted with off-road parking behind an automatic gate within the grounds of the villa. The outside of the villa is lovely, with huge well kept gardens, swing, table tennis, BBQ (gas), a great wood burning pizza oven (which I used about 5 times) and to top it all off, an amazing pool. The children loved the pool and at the ages of 6 and 3, where able to easily get in and out and paddle around in the shallow end due to it's zero entry nature. Inside, the villa is very charming, huge and well maintained, with all the things you need in the kitchen as well as a washing room and in the lounge was SKY TV. It was such a great holiday, we are going again next year.
