Casa Castagna is in the centre of the beautiful medieval village of Brucciano (500m asl) in the Garfagnana region of Northern Tuscany, 46km north of Lucca, close to Barga (12km) and Gallicano (7km).

This is an area of outstanding beauty, surrounded by the Apuan Alps and the Serchio Valley. The beach resorts of Viareggio, marble towns of Massa and Carrara are only just over one hour drive. Excellent train links from Barga-Gallicano station.

Casa Castagna is a traditional, stone built upper villa (100 sqm) with its own large sun terrace and garden. There are 2 bedrooms (currently a double and a twin), lounge, kitchen, 4 piece shower room with window. Large cellar area below the house (separate entrance). The CH system works off a log fire with a back boiler, pump and radiators but is currently out of order. br>
There are restaurants and cafés close by - in the next villages between 1 and 3km from the house. The apartment is situated in a National Park and walking and mountain bike trails are abundant. The villa is in the heart of the Garfagnana Trekking zone.
